Hip Hop DJ Lesson Plan

Students will love learning about the origins of hip hop culture in 1970s New York. They hear a story about the dance, art, fashion, and of course music that encompasses hip hop culture, and they will learn some names of those who started it. Then, students will create their own DJ name and draw a self-portrait that allows them to express themselves.
