Johnny Cash Lesson Plan
The Man in Black
$4.00
In his song called, "The Man in Black," Johnny Cash expressed that always wearing black would show that he's an ally for people who didn't have the things that he does. He grew up poor, so when he became rich and famous, he never forgot what it was like to not have much. He wore all black- black shirt, coat, pants, shoes, and socks to show that he is an ally for those people who are less fortunate than him. He used color to connect with what he cares about. Students will take his idea and apply it to themselves by choosing a color to represent who they are and what they care about.
