New Wave Music Lesson Plan

In the 1980s, fashion and music turned colorful and fun. More people were wearing wild animal prints in bright colors, polka dots, fake fur, big belts, oversized hair bows, silly glasses, and fingerless gloves. They used lots and lots of hairspray and sculpted their hair in gravity-defying ways,.

Students will draw new wavers in this New Wave 'Zine (short for magazine). Simply copy the two pages from 1-sided to 2-sided on your copier, and have students fold it in half and draw wild hairstyles, bright clothing, and bring the 1980s back. Copies can be in color or B+W.
